Welcome to attend ICSS-Asia 2013
ICSS-Asia (International Conference on Sustainability Science, Asia) endeavors to be a platform for sharing knowledge on present status and approaches for sustainable development, and for linking academic institutions with international funding agencies for project development. The fourth ICSS-Asia, ICSS-Asia 2013, will be held at the Australian National University with the Society for Human Ecology (SHE) as SHE/ICSS-Asia 2013 joint conference. In ICSS-Asia 2013, the latest findings from climate change modeling projection, issues relevant to water such as sharp fluctuation of agricultural production in Australia because of water scarcity, to agricultural production climate change, enhancing resilience in the society of rural area through conversion of traditional knowledge into modern technology to respond to climate change and protect biodiversity will be discussed. In addition, sustainable using manner of mineral resources, mitigating strategy of health risk accordance with climate change and role of education/capacity building will be discussed in the context of sustainability. The conference invites representatives of academic networks, academic and research institutions, academic societies, and international aid agencies.
